Affordable and accessible higher education is a priority and need Scholarship at Miami University. The several general scholarships that Miami University offers to first-year students are open to all applicants who submit their applications by the first of February and are accepted to the Oxford campus. For these scholarships, an individual application is not necessary. Awards are contingent upon the quality of the academic documentation submitted with the application. Scholarships based on merit will be awarded to students whose applications are received by the university no later than December 1. Scholarship for Teamwork in Ohio

The Ohio Teacher Education Access at Miami (TEAM) Grant is offered by Miami University in conjunction with Ohio’s K-12 educators. This scholarship is a way to acknowledge the significant impact these educators have on the inhabitants of our state. The scholarship offers a substantial reduction of 25% in the educational and administrative costs, making professional growth and/or acquiring a graduate degree much more affordable.

Students must meet the following criteria: they must be Ohio residents, full-time teachers or school administrators in Ohio, holders of a valid Ohio professional permit or document, and the educational institution or course they are pursuing must be component of the educator’s endorsed continuing education plan. Many options for further study and career advancement are available via the College of Health, Society, and Education’s graduate programs, certifications, and endorsements.

Students who are qualified for the Faculty Reimbursement are not eligible to apply for the TEAM Scholarship at the same time. The “persistent non-degree graduate” status is an option for students who want to enroll in graduate-level classes but do not plan to earn a master’s or doctorate degree. Graduate students are allowed to earn as many hours as they want when they are accepted, for as long as they want.

There is a lot of competition for fellowships at Miami University. Scholarships are awarded based on the quality of the application pool, not the academic credentials. International students enrolled as first-year undergraduates who apply and fulfill all admissions standards for the fall semester will be immediately evaluated for both the International Education Scholarship and the University Merit Scholarship. Scholarships for overseas transfer candidates will be evaluated when they apply for admission.

Determination of Status

Scholarships for transfers will be awarded to new students who enroll in the school during the autumn and spring terms. Students must achieve the minimal academic requirements and submit their admissions application with full academic records by the prioritization deadline in order to be eligible for an exchange grant. No one may apply if they are not enrolled full time, if they are attending a nearby campus, or if they hold a bachelor’s degree. Foundation for the Cincinnati Scholarship

Each eligible student with financial need who enrolls at Miami’s Oxford campus and receives a Cincinnati Fellowship Foundation fellowship will get $2,500. If the recipient continues to enroll full-time, take classes at the Oxford campus, and continues to keep their cumulative GPA at or above 2.50, the scholarship will be renewed.

Getting Into College in Greater Cleveland

If you are accepted to Miami and have financial need, you will be eligible to receive a $2,500 scholarship to go toward your tuition at College Now Greater Cleveland’s Oxford campus. If the recipient continues to enroll full-time, take classes at the Oxford campus, and keeps their cumulative GPA at or above 2.50, the scholarship will be renewed.

Scholarship Program for Dayton and Montgomery County

Each accepted Dayton-Montgomery County Scholarship winner will receive $1,000 from Miami. If the student continues to attend full-time, maintains good academic progress, and submits the FAFSA each year, the scholarship may be renewed for a maximum of four more years. The third and fourth years of this award are renewable at $1,500 each.

Washington, DC, Tuition Match Program

If a student accepts and uses a D.C. Tuition Assistance Grant and enrolls half-time, Miami will provide them an extra $5,000 to help cover tuition. As long as the student maintains their cumulative GPA at or above 2.50, this scholarship may be renewed up to four times.

Scholarship Program for College Promise in Montgomery County, Ohio

Montgomery County, Ohio’s College Promise Scholarship Program has Miami as one of its college partners. Students who participated in College Promise while they were in high school are eligible to obtain financial aid. Funding for state-funded tuition, broad terms fees, career development, business or engineering courses, residence hall accommodations (twice typical room), meals (an ambassador the norm meal organize), and publications is provided by Miami after the student’s self-help contribution, College swear funding, institutional grants and loans, government and state grants, and other sources have been exhausted. Remaining qualified for the course of study requires students to keep a cumulative GPA of 2.50.
